About ICC UAE

The International Chamber of Commerce – United Arab Emirates (ICC UAE) was established in 2004 under the Federation of UAE Chambers of Commerce and Industry with the support of local chambers to foster a healthy and competitive economic environment and to give UAE businesses the opportunity to join and play  an active role  the global economic and business ecosystem.

In the last 15 years of its existence, ICC UAE has represented the commercial, industrial and business enterprises in the country at a global level by working hand in hand with the Paris-based International Secretariat of ICC. This cooperative approach has promoted the expansion of the global reach of the UAE business community throughout the world.

2020  was a particularly successful and busy year in the history of ICC UAE despite the challenges of the COVID-19 Pandemic. ICC UAE celebrated the 100-year anniversary of the ICC, the World Business Organisation. ICC UAE made tremendous progress in fulfilling the mission statement of the ICC “We make business work for everyone, every day, everywhere” which as been achieved by promoting peace and prosperity and bringing down barriers to do business globally.

Besides serving its local members with the wide range of ICC products and services, ICC UAE also serves the international business community by hosting international events and business meetings which foster the exchange of experiences and knowledge. ICC UAE regularly organizes briefing sessions, training workshops and seminars with a practical business focus on banking, arbitration, customs and trade facilitation. These important events are customised for business owners, managers and representatives from the export, logistics, legal, arbitration and trade sectors.

With the ICC UAE mission to empower UAE businesses to expand their business interests worldwide thereby promoting the expansion of the market economy based on the principles of free and fair competition among business enterprises, ICC UAE advocates ICC policies in the UAE which in turn facilitate trade and economic development.

Today, the global network of the International Chamber of Commerce, the World Business Organisation has grown to over 45 million members from 130 different countries and nationalities.   This global network also provides the ICC membership the opportunity to connect, communicate, network and do business through more than 12,000 chambers of commerce and industry globally.
