ICC National Committees

ICC members shape the organization’s policies and business facilitation measures through the global network of ICC national committees. The World Chambers Federation (WCF) is a unique and truly global forum of the ICC which unites the global network of more than 12,000 chambers and their respective business communities. ICC UAE Outreach Initiative

ICC UAE has developed the Outreach Initiative which has been designed to increase connectivity, dialogue and cooperation among ICC National Committees.  This important initiative has proven particularly successful through the course of the COVID-19 pandemic.

For instance, ICC UAE in partnership with ICC Bangladesh delivered a high level webinar on challenges facing the trade finance sector in Bangladesh due to COVID-19. Additionally, this partnership of ICC UAE and ICC Bangladesh delivered a webinar on Global Awareness on Open Account Export Transactions and Recent Policy Changes in Bangladesh held on 23rd October 2020. These important events included engagement from the Asian Development Bank (ADB).

ICC UAE in collaboration with ICC Georgia organized the webinar on Incoterms® 2020 on 28th to increase awareness of these important international commercial terms. This workshop was delivered virtually and achieved the objective of disseminating skills and expertise in the application of the Incoterms® 2020 rules to support secure international trade. Participants feedback exceeded expectations.

ICC UAE, in collaboration with ICC International Court of Arbitration and with the support of ADGM Arbitration Centre, co-organized the webinar on Managing Cost in Construction Disputes . The webinar featured a line-up of eminent speakers that discussed the management of cost in complex construction disputes.  The content also included practical tips and guidance which will help contracting parties avoid pitfalls and problems going forward.

ICC UAE & ICC China co-chaired the English language component of the ICC China Annual Trade Conference 2020. An ICC UAE team of speakers delivered panel session on “Latest Developments of Global Trade Finance”. The panel of experts from ICC UAE included financial technology specialist from the membership of ICC UAE, including China Systems Corporation and Trade Assets, who are both leading Fintech’s in their respective fields.

ICC UAE and ICC Pakistan in partnership with Asian Development Bank conducted a webinar on Incoterms 2020, International Contracting and Force Majeure. The webinar was a great success and provided current and aspiring trade professionals with the skills and expertise  to enhance their technical trade expertise and expand business opportunities.
