Founder and Managing Partner of Al Hadeel Al Hasan Law Firm (HHL), Iraq's leading independent law firm with offices in Baghdad, Basra, Erbil, and Amman. Ms. Hasan has spent over two decades building HHL from a sole practice into a fullservice firm of 21+ attorneys, representing multinational corporations, international organisations, foreign governments, and major IOCs across Iraq and the Middle East. A recognised expert in international arbitration, Ms. Hasan has appeared as expert witness before the Lausanne Tribunal, the Paris Tribunal, and the Singapore International Arbitration Centre (SIAC). She combines deep knowledge of Iraqi civil and commercial law with practical experience in cross-border disputes spanning telecommunications, oil and gas, construction, finance, and government contracting.

Transformed the practice into an LLC with four offices across Iraq and Jordan. Leads a team of 21+ attorneys providing comprehensive legal services to Fortune 500 companies, IOCs, embassies, INGOs, and financial institutions.

INTERNATIONAL ARBITRATION EXPERIENCE

·         Expert witness before the Lausanne Tribunal in a high-profile telecommunications licensing dispute, securing a favourable award.

 ·         Expert witness before the Paris Tribunal in a pharmaceutical dispute against the Iraqi Government.

 ·         Assisted in proceedings before the Singapore International Arbitration Centre (SIAC), addressing spectrum management, customs, and telecom licensing 

·         Represented international oil companies (IOCs) in arbitration and court disputes concerning Technical Service Contracts (TSCs) and EDPSCs with the Iraqi Ministry of Oil. 

·         Acted as legal counsel in EPC contract disputes related to contract performance, delayed payments, and regulatory compliance for large-scale infrastructure projects. 

·         Resolved disputes over sovereign guarantees for strategic construction projects, including power plants and water treatment facilities. 

·         Represented financial institutions in arbitration over tax disputes, mergers, and acquisitions in complex cross-border transactions.
