Somasundaram Thirumoolanathan

Trade Finance Product Manager

Somasundaram Thirumoolanathan is an experienced transaction banking professional with over 15 years of banking experience off 12 years in the Middle East.

Somasundaram manages the Trade Products and Corporate Channels in Transaction Banking within CBI. He has experience in areas of products, sales, operations, channels and services in the Transaction Banking division.

Before joining CBI in 2015, Somasundaram was with ADCB where he was managing the trade finance products along with the Mid Corporate segment in the Dubai & Northern Emirates region from a trade product sales perspective. Somasundaram started his career in trade finance with ABN AMRO Central Enterprise Services Ltd. and HDFC Bank Ltd., in India before moving to Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank, UAE in December 2007.

His previous assignments include stints in operations, technology projects, E-Channels, product sales and product development across ADCB.

As a Trade Finance Product Manager in CBI, he currently manages the overall trade finance business that includes building a best-in-class product and technology capability.
