A steadfast leader and a highly astute professional, Hani Selim is a passionate hotelier with an impeccable career spanning more than twenty years in the hospitality industry.
He is most inspired when spearheading financially led projects and is reputed for his natural business acumen and the ability to grasp complex ideas and concepts quickly. The ability to keep teams highly motivated and goal orientated without compromising on the level of service led to his recent transition from finance to hotel leadership.
In 2020, he returned to the Kempinski Hotel & Residences Palm Jumeirah in the capacity of General Manager. Tasked with leading the resort into a new post-pandemic landscape, Hani has steered his team towards record-breaking achievements in hotel revenue performances and guest satisfaction.
These accomplishments earned him a nomination in the “Hotelier Middle East Power GM 100 List for 2021”, a list honouring Middle East’s 100 top performing General Managers within the hospitality industry, as well as resulted in him being honoured by the Dubai Government with the coveted UAE Golden Visa.
He opened the prestigious resort in 2011 as the Director of Finance and until 2019, he oversaw the entire finance function for the resort as well as the pre-opening of the Emerald Palace. He left Kempinski Hotels in 2019 to establish the Paramount Hotel Dubai and returned to the Kempinski Hotel & Residences Palm Jumeirah in his new leadership role in 2020.
Hani previously represented several Dubai city hotels and has been a longstanding Director of KEP Association & Property Management since 2011. He holds several high-level academic association accomplishments including a CMA with the Institute of Management Accountants, an Associates Degree at the Dubai Real Estate Institute as well as qualifications from Cornell University and a Bachelor Degree in Accounting from Tanta University
