Professional Activities

Antonia Birt acts as counsel and advocate in commercial and construction arbitrations for state, national and multi-national clients. Antonia also sits as arbitrator with experience acting as sole arbitrator, chair or co-arbitrator under ICC, LCIA, DIAC and DIFC-LCIA Rules. Since 2019, Antonia teaches the International Arbitration Practicum to LLM students at the Pantheon Assas University Paris II, UAE. Antonia is a member of the IBA Commercial Arbitration Case Law Sub-Committee responsible for the UAE, having previously co-authored the original and updated editions of the IBA Guide on Arbitration, UAE law chapter. Antonia is ranked in Chambers and Partners Global 2022 and 2023 as an Up and Coming Practitioner, and in GAR’s Who’s Who Legal as Future Leader in Arbitration 2022 and 2023, with clients describing her as a “very analytical lawyer. She is very detail-oriented and looks at things from all angles. She is also very solution-oriented and strategic in her thinking" and as "very intelligent and great with clients."
