Senior Dispute Resolutions Manager

Oliver is a Civil Engineer specialised in the management of construction claims and resolution of disputes. He also holds a LLM degree in Construction Law and Arbitration. He is currently employed as Senior Dispute Resolutions Manager with Dubai Aviation Engineering Projects. He was a member of the CIArb UAE branch committee from 2012 to 2015 and is accredited on the CIArb’s Faculty List as trainer and assessor. Oliver regularly attends conferences and training events on international arbitration and has participated in the ICC Advanced Level Training on the Conduct of Proceedings and Case Management earlier this year in Paris. 

Oliver has been appointed as Arbitrator by the Dubai International Arbitration Centre (DIAC) and the DIFC-LCIA Arbitration Centre on various arbitration cases. 

Oliver has extensive experience with FIDIC based construction contracts and has been a friendly reviewer for the FIDIC Green Book (2021) and is currently a member of a FIDIC Taskforce developing guidelines for users of the 1999 and 2017 Contract Suites. 

Oliver has over 20 years of claims and disputes experience in construction and engineering projects including airports, resorts, residential developments, railway and high-rise buildings in Germany, Libya, Iran, United Arab Emirates, Iraq, South Africa, Turkey, Oman, Ukraine and Pakistan.
