Ayesha Susan Ali Mahyoob Sultan
 

Ayesha Sultan is an Arbitrator and CEDR-accredited Mediator with experience across commercial, construction, real estate, labour supply, IT implementation, and employment disputes. She has acted as sole arbitrator and co-arbitrator under DIAC and arbitrateAD rules, with seats in Dubai, DIFC, and Abu Dhabi, and serves as a Mediator for the ADGM Courts.  She is a member of the DIAC panel of Arbitrators, the arbitrateAD List of Arbitrators and the SCCA Roster of Arbitrators, as well as being appointed to the ADGM Court-Annexed Mediation Scheme, Pro Bono Mediators Panel. 

Ayesha brings over 20 years of senior executive and board-level experience in complex, asset-intensive environments, contributing strong commercial judgment and a practical understanding of operational and financial risk to dispute resolution. Formerly held senior Group and regional leadership roles, including Group CEO, Chief Business Development Officer, and Managing Director – Growth, with accountability for multi-billion-dollar portfolios, enterprise strategy, operating model redesign, M&A, and post-merger integration and transformation.  Ayesha’s career spans infrastructure, transport and logistics, real estate, government services, and consulting, with consistent engagement at the highest levels with government and institutional stakeholders. 

Ayesha is an Member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (MCIArb) and she is listed on the UAE CIArb branch accredited Mediators List.  She is also a Supporting Member of The London Maritime Arbitrators Association (LMAA). 

Ayesha has completed an MA in Law (Distinction) from the University of Law, UK, as well as an MSc. in Operational Research and a BSc. in Mathematics and French, from the University of Southampton, UK (MA, MSc, BSc). She is also a Fellow and Chartered Director of the UK Institute of Directors and the GCC Board Directors Institute (CDir, FIoD, F.GCCBDI) and she has served on Boards and on Board Committees since 2012.  She speaks English, Arabic and French.
