Responsible for setting GTS’s strategic direction and revenue growth from commodity sector clients of the bank. Primary responsibility is to lead development of global sales operating plan to deliver revenue growth from existing and new clients from this sector through proactive client engagement, provision of value-added solutions/ financing structures and effective sales performance management. Important aspect of the job is the need for collaboration across multiple stakeholders within Coverage, Risk and Product.

November 2015 to March 2023: Position Held: Managing Director, Regional Head of Product & Propositions, Asia Pacific Regional Office, Hong Kong

Led product development and management activities for Asia Pacific region spanning 19 countries. Managed end to-end product function with full P&L responsibility. Asia Pacific region is the largest revenue contributor and commands prominence by way of inputs into global and regional business strategy, growth initiatives and innovation. Working closely with Country CEOs and Business Heads, delivered change, enabling the business with new capabilities to meet evolving customer needs and compete with emerging competitors. Key achievements include development of market leading Structured Trade Finance business, Sustainability linked trade finance propositions and pioneered first to bank Embedded Finance offering based on alternate data.

Provided strategic direction for growth of the trade business across a diverse set of countries in the region. Led trade revenue growth agenda for the region ensuring a superior client experience through best in class operations, client servicing and technology infrastructure. • Managed the bank’s Trade business in Asia Pacific region covering 15 markets, accounting for approximately 25% of the global business with revenues exceeding USD300M. Solutions included Trade Finance, Trade Services, Supply Chain and Receivables Finance, Commodity Finance and Export Agency Finance. Asia Trade Finance represented the bank’s most significant lending engagement with Corporates and Financial Institutions.

• Achieved double digit growth in Supply Chain, Receivables Finance and Export Agency Finance business.
