Description
In an effort to accelerate trade digitalisation and promote the interoperability of trade documents and associated data, the ICC Digital Standards Initiative will release its systematic digital standards analysis and best practice recommendations covering over 20 key trade documents. The insights and best practice recommendations are the result of the ICC DSI Key Trade Documents and Data Elements Working groups 1 and 2 covering over 40 organizations representing every part of the global supply chain, over 15 months to date.
This global launch and sharing of key finding in the report will provide you with detailed insights into the essential data elements held within each of 20 key trade documents covering the seven most commonly used documents, plus documents of title, finance and payment, and transport and logistics. The paper versions of these documents currently enable billions of dollars of trade each and every day.
Digitisation involves converting data from an analogue (paper-based) format to a digital format. Digitalisation is about transforming every transaction on the supply chain – B2B and B2G – to be executed digitally, with all the accompanying benefits of speed, lower cost, efficiency, transparency, traceability and sustainability.
This global launch is a unique opportunity to learn firsthand from Pamela Mar, Managing Director of its Digital Standards Initiative (DSI), and Richard Wulff, Executive Director of the International Credit Insurance & Surety Association (ICISA) on the ICC DSI digital standards roadmap.
